What does the term "60x60 Cotton" mean, and why is it utilized in Pehrae garments?
"60x60 Cotton" refers to the precise textile engineering and mathematical construction of the fabric utilized in our premium garments. It means we use ultra-fine "60s" count yarn woven symmetrically with exactly 60 warp threads and 60 weft threads per square inch. This specific architecture results in a lightweight textile (90 to 120 GSM) that is simultaneously smooth to the touch, highly durable, and completely opaque. We use 60x60 cambric cotton because it is the global gold standard for summer and professional office wear, offering a crisp, elegant drape while remaining feather-light.
What exactly makes Pehrae fabric "breathable"?
A genuinely breathable fabric performs two critical thermodynamic functions to regulate your temperature. First, its microscopic woven architecture allows for constant air circulation, venting trapped body heat. Second, our natural cotton fibers are highly hydrophilic (water-absorbing). When you perspire, the fabric immediately draws moisture away from your skin and disperses it across the outer surface to evaporate rapidly. This active evaporation physically lowers your temperature, unlike synthetic fabrics that trap heat and moisture against your skin.
How can I independently verify that my garment is constructed from 100% pure cotton?
We pride ourselves on radical transparency. You can verify the authenticity of our cotton through three simple observations:
- The Water Test: Pure cotton is highly absorbent. A drop of water will absorb almost instantaneously, whereas it will bead up and roll off synthetic blends.
- The Tactile Evaluation: Pure cotton possesses a natural, matte softness and feels inherently cool against the skin, unlike slippery, heat-trapping polyester.
- The Combustion Test: If you carefully ignite a loose interior thread, 100% pure cotton will burn exactly like paper, emit a scent like burning leaves, and leave a soft, crumbly gray ash. Synthetic fibers will instantly melt, smell like plastic, and leave a hard black bead.
What does the term "refined stitching" mean, and how does it practically affect the quality of my clothes?
Refined stitching is the meticulous craftsmanship that ensures your garment maintains its structural integrity. While fast fashion uses long, loose stitches (6-9 per inch) that pull apart under tension, Pehrae strictly enforces a high density of 12 to 14 stitches per inch for an exceptionally secure seam. Furthermore, we utilize labor-intensive French Seams for our delicate cottons. This technique folds the raw, cut edge of the fabric entirely inside itself, meaning there are zero rough or fraying edges rubbing against your skin, guaranteeing superior durability through countless wash cycles.
Will my 100% cotton garments shrink, and what are the exact washing instructions?
Because we utilize 100% natural plant fibers and refuse to use toxic, synthetic anti-shrink chemical resins, minor natural shrinkage (2-5%) is expected during the very first wash. To prevent excessive shrinking and maintain dimensional stability, always wash your garments exclusively in cold water (strictly below 30°C) on a gentle cycle, preferably inside out. Never use a high-heat tumble dryer, as this bakes and damages the fibers. Air-dry flat or hang in the shade, and avoid artificial fabric softeners, as they coat natural fibers in synthetic residue and instantly destroy the fabric's breathability.
